This week we have something really special lined up for the newsletter. I don’t want to talk about it too much until we are ready, but in the build up to it I wanted to ask readers a question:
What fan made games or extensive mods have you played and how did you find the experience? (e.g. games like Project M or any big Skyrim mods).
In the mean time, please don’t forget to check out our last full issue. Cheers!
Call me boring, unimaginative or just lazy I've not really played any. In gaming terms I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I like my games as they where meant to be played bugs, glitches and all. The likes of Gary's Mod did interest me, but I never really played it.
The only fan made mods I can recall playing much of was the Warcraft 3 custom games - which were awesome. Fun fact - MOBAs and Tower Defences were both born in that creative nexus.
Didn't know that, but that's pretty cool. There's loads of good stuff that has come out of that area, my favourite probably being Sonic Mania. Most of the guys who worked on that game made Sonic fan games before that.

Hopefully the next few issues will change your mind ;)
