Who are we?

The Casual Gamer’s View is a newsletter written by a group of like minded gamers who have too many games to play and not enough time to play them. Mostly we’ll be bringing you news round ups, interviews with developers and opinion pieces on what we’re playing or looking forward to.

What is this newsletter all about?

We feel that the media is split into two extreme camps when it comes to gaming:

  1. Dedicated gaming sites, blogs, streamers, YouTubers and magazines that are catered for hardcore gamers.

  2. Mainstream media outlets that a portray a dumbed-down perspective of the gaming industry aimed at people who don’t play games at all.

Whilst there is definitely a time and place for both of these, we know there is a middle ground. A way of delivering gaming news for the semi-retired hardcore gamers. The 20 to 40 somethings that spent our younger years indulging in our favourite hobby, but now have families, jobs or social lives that take up the bulk of this time.
